Crispin at State Park

Crispin and I were biking at South Whidbey State Park, and he paused to climb this big tree stump.

Halloween Market

Liam set this up a la a lemonade stand on October 24. After selling things, he put on a scary play and threw candy at and to children.

Scary wolves

Liam is dressed as the wolf skeleton. Even 2 years ago, this sort of costume would have terrified him.

Both boys walked through a haunted house with us. Liam is likely planning his own haunted house next year.

Crispin the mummy

Crispin decided to be a scary mummy on Halloween 15 minutes before we left to meet friends for trick or treating. With good fortune we had a lot of Christmas garland and a brother with face paints.

Cocoon photo explained

Hi Family,

The boys continue to enjoy their bikes a great deal (and I've enjoyed biking along). When I can (an afternoon free from meetings), I pick Crispin up from school early. At first, he desired to go to the skate park (which is right next to the playground where the boys were climbing). Of late, he has wanted to return to my house to go biking with me along Maxwelton Road. The cocoon is at the house of one of his teachers (who has said we can stop by; she has a child his age) and is really a hammock. The ride there is a bit over a mile, with some modest uphills. It brings back fond memories of when I was a boy biking with one gear and the techniques of standing up to get up a hill or tacking (when there is no traffic).
